Councillors Prue Bray and Malcolm Armstrong joined the bus in Winnersh
Wokingham Liberal Democrats went by bus yesterday to bring their election message to residents.
The red double-decker bus, covered in Liberal Democrat campaign messages, toured Wokingham, Woodley, Earley, Winnersh and Twyford. Councillor Prue Bray (Leader of the Wokingham Lib Dem Councillor Group and Councillor for Winnersh ward) said, "Our 'battle bus' was very eye-catching and got lots of attention.
John Redwood gets the message
"Our driver's lunch-break coincided with the Wokingham St George's parade and hundreds of people marched past the Lib Dem bus. Most people were very encouraging and positive, but John Redwood (Tory MP) and Mayor Angus Ross didn't express an opinion!"
The bus toured Wokingham Town Centre
"The Lib Dems have worked tirelessly in the run up to the elections on Thursday (3rd May), and the Lib Dem battle bus was part of our last push in the campaign. It was nice to put our feet up after delivering hundreds of leaflets."
