Invitation from Wokingham Lib Dems - Your Town centre needs you!

March 14, 2014 12:00 PM

In February Wokingham's Liberal Democrat councillors announced alternative plans for the regeneration of Wokingham town centre and the Elms Field area.

On Wednesday 2nd April, 7-9pm, Wokingham Lib Dems are holding a public meeting at the Bradbury Centre in Rose Street. Cllr Prue Bray Leader of the Wokingham Lib Dem group will present the alternative plans, and Clive Jones the Lib Dem prospective parliamentary candidate for Wokingham will be supporting the Borough Councillors. Everyone is welcome, and the Lib Dem team will be available to explain and discuss their proposals which include:

NO LOSS OF GREEN SPACE ON ELMS FIELD and the development of a 'click and brick' virtual town centre that complements the Town Centre, helps regeneration and encourages visitors and shoppers into the town.

The Lib Dem group have listened to local residents, and what they want is reflected in their radical alternatives to the Conservatives' unpopular plans. The group are keen to discuss these ideas and alternatives with local residents and get their feedback.

There is a lot being proposed, so please come along and be part of this exciting opportunity.
