A recent Conservative leaflet in Earley claimed that John Redwood MP has been talking to Ministers to get noise abatement measures between junctions 11 and 10 of the M4 motorway.

A Freedom of Information request reveals that Mr Redwood has not had any meetings with Department of Transport Ministers to discuss the M4 Smart motorway project between junctions 10 and 11 since January 2014.

"Mr Redwood should apologise for misleading the residents of Earley and issue a retraction of his comments in the Conservatives next "In Touch" leaflet

"The Conservatives claim Mr Redwood is spearheading the campaign for noise abatement. We now have confirmation that this is a ridiculous claim", says Clive Jones Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for Wokingham.

Clearly, Mr Redwood is stuck in the slow lane, a long way behind the Liberal Democrats.
