The people of Emmbrook spoke in force in the election on Thursday, 4thFebruary, with the Conservative majority cut to just 21 on an astonishing 43% turnout. A huge thank you to those hundreds of voters who put their trust in me.
Emmbrook North Results - February 2016
Conservative 44%
Liberal Democrat 43%
Labour 13%
The Lib Dems will continue to campaign on those real issues facing people in Emmbrook:
  • Appropriate and affordable - housing on Matthews Green, together with ensuring community facilities are built.
  • Community first - Contesting the optional development on Elms Field, again putting the needs of the community at the heart of our proposals.
  • Common sense - Negotiating with the Tory-led borough council about moving the Wokingham & Emmbrook football club to Cantley Park, where they actually want to be.
  • A premium on the future - Fight to give our children the opportunities they deserve by campaigning for fairer funding across Wokingham's schools, ensuring the kids of Emmbrook get a fair shake.
A result like the one delivered in Emmbrook gives us the courage to carry on fighting for the interests of the many over the self-interest of the few. Together we can ensure Wokingham and Emmbrook are great places to live for everybody!
