Winning Candidate Imogen Shepherd Dubey

Thanks to all the NWB people who made phone calls in support of our Wokingham Borough Council by-election candidate. Having lost to the Conservative candidate by just 13 votes last May, Imogen won the seat last Friday with a thumping majority of 696!

Imogen worked hard at going out to meet voters but the swing to us from the Tories shows that the tide is turning in our favour. We will watch the Stoke Central and Copeland parliamentary by-election results this week with interest. Contact Sue Farrant if you would like to help with those but don't know how.

Last May Imogen was 13 votes behind the Tories 1222 - 1235. The result this time:

Imogen Shepherd-DuBey (Liberal Democrat) 1575 59.7%
Conservatives 879 33.3%
UKIP 104 3.9%
Labour 79 3.0%

Turnout 39.67%
