Two re-elected, and two gains for the Liberal Democrats - in the May 2018 Borough Council elections

The Liberal Democrats had much to celebrate on the 3rd of May, firstly increasing their vote share across the Borough by 4% to 32%, getting two councillors re-elected and gaining two seats from the Conservatives.

In Winnersh, long standing and hard-working councillor Prue Bray increased her majority to 951 polling 1,646 votes,

In Emmbrook, hard-working councillor Imogen Shepherd-DuBey, increased her majority to 745 polling 1,829 votes.

Liberal Democrat GAINS

In Evendons, Liberal Democrat campaigner Helen Power, gained the former seat of Conservative Executive Member Mark Ashwell, with a majority of 177 votes polling a sizable 1,375.

In Hawkendon, Liberal Democrat campaigner David Hare, gained a seat from the Conservatives with a 121 majority polling a sizable 1,096 votes.

Liberal Democrat significant vote increases

Liberal Democrat candidates also significantly increased the number of votes in wards such as Finchampstead North, Finchampstead South, Wokingham Without and in Hillside were only 68 votes short of the third gain of the night.
