Action in Wescott
St Crispins Leisure Centre
Wescott Liberal Democrat Councillors are delighted that St Crispins Leisure Centre will remain available to community groups,
including the squash league. Wescott Town Councillor Rob Comber says, “The centre will be transferred to the school allowing
it to provide much needed secondary school places over the next 5 years. “Places Leisure will incorporate other sports classes
and activities at their other sites, including BXG FIT in Peach Place.”
Home to School Transport
The home to school transport policy for children over 16 years with special educational needs has recently been updated.
Wescott Borough Councillor Jane Ainslie says, “Some parents in Wescott have had some concerns about school transport, so I am extremely pleased that the Council is able to reassure residents that the case for each child with special needs will be looked at on its own individual merits. “The Council will not make blanket decisions about transport. If any resident wants to talk
to me about their case, please email me.”
